Tropico 5 mods essential12/14/2023 Mods however, would be nice addition to the MP scene. I've yet to get a MP game to go over 800 or so players on each side due to lag, however they run a laptop, so I'll put it down to that until I play someone who actually has a decent pc. In my opinion a Game, that allow/support mods heavily do have pretty good succes. And as a experienced player I do reach the pop cap pretty quick. I just play with friends with no end set. There are more I am pretty sure, but please to something about it. Or simply atleast a slider to increase the population cap for this game, that the host can change ( like how you can do it in age of empires).Every player in multiplayer has to have the same mods activated to get it to work (simular how it works in like age of empires).A checkbox or something simular in the multiplayer lobby, where everyone has to agree, that this is a modded multiplayer lobby. This Warning could be replaced instead of the information, when you want to login into multiplayer and have mods on. A Warning, that mods in multiplayer especilly do have the problem of desyncs or other technical issues. There are several ideas how to implemeting mods into multiplayer. For me and my friend it is really disappointed how it is right now. There will be everytime someone, who has a 5 year old computer, but that doesn't mean, that other players getting forced to these kind of limitations to cut the fun of the game. So I really don't understand the limitation of the game. I have a completly new computer, that runs every new game and also simulations pretty damn well and my friends don't really have bad pc either. I only play with my friends together and we don't have any technical issues. However, it is really frustrating for me to not have atleast more population in a multiplayer match. I do like this thread about it in the kalypso forum: I know it is discussed many times about mods in multiplayer.
